The Program Objectives of the Facilities Manager Development Group (FMDG) are:
- To identify and promote opportunities for professional development through enhanced coordination and communication between campus-wide facilities management staffs.
- To provide a network that enables facilities managers to obtain knowledge and skills to improve efficiencies through a synergistic effort.
FMDG is a leadership group comprised of representatives from Virginia Tech academic and auxiliary departments to address specific concerns of and facilitate communication among facilities management personnel.
Directions to FMDG monthly meeting location:
FMDG meets at the Institute of Critical Technologies and Applied Sciences' (ICTAS) facility. It is located at 1991 Kraft Drive at the Corporate Research Center. From Southgate Drive, turn onto Tech Center Drive (at "the traffic light"). Turn right onto Kraft Drive (near the airport). Take the second left off of Kraft (this will be the intersection of Kraft and Pratt). There is another new building being built on the left as you start down this road...go past this construction site to the end of the drive...the ICTAS NCFL is located just beyond the construction sight. There are also yellow signs posted.

Holiday Social
Location: New ICTAS Facility on campus, in Café X (just to the left of the main entrance). This building is located at the corner of Stanger and Old Turner Streets, across from McBryde Hall.
There will be light refreshments; members are invited to bring a refreshment to share as well.
